definition of an ading

i finally have a little sister. her name is jammie. she is 18 years old. probably the sweetest, most compassionate, intelligent, confident, creative and lovable ading a kuya could ever have. note: "ading" means little sister in filipino

how jammie became my little sister

every year, the Pilipino Cultural Exchange assigns older members to "mentor" new members whether they be freshmen or transfers into the club and CalPoly, SLO. well, i was assigned as jammie's "kuya" or in filipino, older brother. to make the assignment process fun, the older brothers and sisters identities would be kept secret for a period of time until a revealing. i was then known as "kuya crazy" and she was known as "ading jacel." we sent each other a few little gifts.

what jammie gave me

ironically enough, jammie totally thought that i had someone else as an ading even though i was spending a lotta time at her place. jaz, stef, and michelle, her roommates, were in on it. they did a great job hiding the fact that i was her kuya. well, i finally decided to reveal myself to her at a PCE meeting. at the meeting the 3rd and final gift from kuyas/ates/adings would be handed out. instead, jammie got a letter and a clue as her gift. the clue included an actual letter and then a description of the person that would give her the next clue. in other words, she would get a letter "Y" and then she'd have to find the person fitting the description and get another clue from that person. the letters she received were "y-o-u-r k-u-y-a c-r-a-z-y i-s." meanwhile, the whole time she was getting clues from people at the meeting, i was changing to all white clothes and getting wrapped up in toilet paper like a mummy. when she got to the last letter, i was then presented to her and she unwrapped me. heh heh. we have it all on tape. here's a pic of when i revealed...
